We invite you to view this video below to provide more information on Jessica Beyer's work on immigration evaluations. If you still have questions, please call the mainline or email to further assist.
For Clients:
Please arrive to your appointment on time
Duration of the evaluation is approximately 2 hours
Please bring one form of ID on the day of your appointment
If the client is a minor, a parent or guardian will need to be present that day of the evaluation
Please bring your lawyer's contact information to ensure timely communication if needed through this process
If your case involves U visa, please bring an official copy of your police report that clearly shows the client's name as the victim
Clients beware of scammers! Know your options!
After many years of experience helping clients with psychological evaluations for immigration, I have realized some clients are being taken advantage of, costing the client misuse of their time and more importantly, costing more in the long run. Clients are often scammed by other therapists who say they are qualified to conduct evaluations for immigration when it is not the case. They lure the clients in by offering lower prices but the quality of their work does not meet the standards of what it takes to have a strong case for immigration. Some clients risk it to pay lower prices but end up having to start over, paying more, because the report was not sufficient. Make sure the therapist you choose has experience in this area because it can make a difference in the outcome of your immigration application.
Another way clients are being scammed is bypassing hiring an Immigration lawyer to avoid paying more. Instead, some clients are taking a risk and using a "Notario"/Notary public to help fill out the immigration application. They explain how they can help fill out court or immigration documents but they are not qualified to complete this. Please make sure you understand the difference and how this could also impact the outcome of your immigration application. Also make sure your lawyer is actually a lawyer because there have been some cases where a person represents themselves a lawyer, when they are not. If you are unsure or have doubts we can help verify for you or I can recommend lawyers who I have collaborated in the past.
Below you will find a flyer that explains in more detail about how this type of scam is real and happening! Please do not fall victim to this and know who you are working with because this is a very important event in your life and you want to make sure you have the appropriate professionals on your side.
